Demonstration School, Ajmer is one of the departments of the Regional Institute of Education which is constituent unit of National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi.

NCERT works for upgrading the quality of school education in the country and assists and advises the Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), Govt. of India in the implementation of its policies and major programmes in the field of educational particularly school education.

Vision

Demonstration Multipurpose School (DMS)

The DM school was established in 1964 as a pace setting institution. It also serves as RIE’s laboratory for conducting educational experiments and trying out innovations in the teaching learning process .It is a co-educational school and follows the three language formula .It is affiliated to the CBSE and provides education to students from primary to XII . At the Senior Secondary level, students have the options of Humanities ,Science, Commerce and Vocational streams .The school has its separate library ,labs, computer room ,multimedia room and other necessary physical facilities .The school library has collection of about 30,000 books, Newspapers(Hindi &English), above 100 Multimedia CD/DVD collection .The library subscribes 37 magazines every year. DMS envisions itself a world class organization in school education committed to continually empowering teachers to actualize inside out synergy in students and enable them to fulfill futuristic societal, national and global needs and aspirations.

Mission:

DMS has a fourfold mission viz:-

To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government employees including defense and para military personnel by providing a common programme of education and also for RBSE board students
To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education.
To initiate and promote experimentations and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like CBSE, and our bodies like NCERT, etc.
To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of "Indianness" among children.
